Canllaw Hygyrchedd – Accessibility Guide

Croeso – Welcome

As a holiday caravan park, also with touring and self-catering accommodation, we aim to make everyone’s stay as enjoyable as possible and are committed to providing suitable access for all our guest, whatever their individual needs.

This accessibility guide is for Redford Caravan Park and there is a separate accessibility guide for Rosehill Caravan Park.

Our aim is to accurately describe our facilities and services, to give you confidence to book the most appropriate accommodation for your specific requirements.

Our accommodation and our sites are seeking to become members of The Visit Wales Approved Scheme.

We understand that many people have different access needs from those with hearing and visual impairments to wheelchair users, to those with mobility problems and push chair users, to those with non-visible impairments such as dementia and mental health illnesses.

We are always looking at ways to make to make small adjustments to our parks to improve each individual guest’s experience. If you have any suggestions during your stay with us, please pop into reception or call us to let us know.

Gwybodaeth – Information

It is important to us that the information we set out is clear, accurate, honest and available. Our Websites www.redfordcaravanpark.co.uk and www.rosehillcaravanpark.co.uk include details about directions to our caravan parks. These details are also sent out via e-mail prior to arrival with a welcome pack. In addition, all information is available at our reception office located at the entrance of Redford Caravan Park, open from Thursdays to Sundays and all bank holidays, 9.30am – 4.00pm.

Redford is situated on the main 381 bus route between Tenby via Narberth to Haverfordwest with the bus running hourly during daytime hours. The nearest train station is at Narberth.

Redford Caravan Park has clear signage at the entrance and there is level access onto our caravan park from the road. The reception area is immediately to the left on entering the park and there are a couple of speed humps to ensure safe speeds on site.

The reception area has two steps at the entrance but you can enter via the level games room door if this is easier and staff are happy to come outside to speak with you and give assistance, if more helpful. At the side of the reception office is a level car park leading on to the laundrette & games room. Parking for Ty Redford, the Cwtch and Caravan 33 is also in this car park. All facilities are clearly signposted including opening hours as necessary.

The Cwtch is an upstairs flat and there are a couple of outside steps at Ty Redford, also there is currently no ramp access to our caravans so unfortunately, none of these are suitable for wheelchair users.

From reception onto the rest of the caravan park is an automatic barrier ensuring that only those who need to access the park can do so, providing extra security and peace of mind for our guests. Beyond the barrier the ground slopes downwards to the touring caravan pitches and tourer toilets. The tourer pitches and toilets are on level ground and include disabled toilets and shower facilities.

The Park has automatic timed lighting which comes on to ensure the Park is well lit after dark. There is an external notice board next to reception where relevant information, events and news are displayed, and another is inside reception and there is also one in the pool area.

The park is very dog friendly with doggy poop bags available at reception and a doggy play park. There is also information on our website about dog friendly beaches and dog friendly pubs and restaurants in Pembrokeshire.

Gwasanaeth – Service

It is a top priority for us to ensure a warm welcome is given to each and every guest who visits us. Our staff are always willing to help, whether working in reception or on the grounds. If you need to know anything or need something, please do not hesitate to ask us and we will do our absolute best to help you.

Our Parks are family-owned businesses, so we understand the importance of family and friends time on holidays. We run events throughout the season and are always happy to support our customers if they want us to help them organise something.

Our grounds are managed by our team of grounds people to keep them looking smart throughout the season. Our touring pitches are all fully serviced with mains water, electric and wastewater connections. The static caravans are on bottled gas, mains water, electric and drainage system.

We welcome feedback from our guests as this helps us to ensure that we are continuously improving our offering.
