Narberth Food Festival

With entertainment, guest chefs and over 50 stalls of scrumptious food, the Narberth Food Festival attracts foodies from all over the UK. 

The festival, established in 1998 and run by volunteers, is hosted in the gorgeous little market town of Narberth. 

Ironman Wales

A sunrise swim, a rugged coastal bike ride and a run through the atmospheric town-centre of Tenby. Are you ready for the iconic Ironman, Wales? 

With a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run (yep – that’s a full marathon!) to finish, this Pembrokeshire event is not for the faint-hearted. 

However, Ironman Wales attracts thousands of enthusiastic supporters to the coastal town. Inspiring every competitor to the finish line.

Aberjazz Jazz & Blues Festival

Turning Fishguard into a musical hub is the highly-regard Aberjazz Festival. Held in various venues throughout the town, Fishguard comes alive during this four-day event! 

This popular Pembrokeshire event celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. 

Grab your favourite tipple and enjoy performances from a wide variety of musicians! 

Llangwm Literary Festival

Literature fans will not want to miss out on the popular Llangwm Literary Festival. Enjoying an idyllic setting within the Cleddau Estuary, it is a delightful addition to our Pembrokeshire events guide. 

Look forward to talks from both local and international writers and workshops. As well as activities for children, including wildflower walks, and storytelling. 

You can also get involved with bushcraft and foraging, and purchase local arts, crafts and produce. 

Milford Street Food Festival

Held over two days on the awe-inspiring Milford Waterfront, is the renowned Milford Street Food Festival. 

Offering a wide variety of mouth-watering and freshly prepared food and drink, this event is sure to whet your appetite! 

What could be better than tucking into an array of food options with a cold beer and waterfront views? 

Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon

Stay at Redford caravan park and take part or spectate. 

Surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, is this award-winning, sell out event. 

The Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon attracts thousands every year. Split into a 1500m swim, 43km bike ride, and 10.6 km run, you can experience all the elements of Pembrokeshire’s coast and countryside. 

Long Course Weekend

Stay at Redford caravan park and take part or spectate The Long Course Weekend. The Long Course is a truly unique festival of sport. Athletes compete across three disciplines over the course of a weekend, picking the distances that suit them best. You’ll have to go long to get that final medal though… Enter now!

Cider & Sausage Festival with The Wurzels 1 July 6pm-10:30pm

 

Get ready to Drink Up Thy Zider with Somerset legends ‘The Wurzels’. 

West Country music legends ‘The Wurzels’ will be headlining Pembroke Castle’s first ever ‘Cider & Sausage Festival’ on the evening of Saturday 1st July, and it is expected to be a fun filled night of musical entertainment along with some quality food and beverages.

Headliners ‘The Wurzels’ will be supported by local bands ‘Preseli Pete & The Bluestone Boys’ and ‘Daisy B & The Daisychain’.  A variety of delicious craft ciders, including Pembroke’s very own ‘Pembrokeshire Cider’ alongside an array of other beverages will be served by Absolute Event Bars.  The Castle Kitchen Team will be offering concertgoers the opportunity to indulge in some mouth-watering local sausages.

The Wurzels , best known for their Hits of the 70’s, Combine Harvester, I am a Cider Drinker, The Blackbird Song, Morning Glory, Drink Up thy Zider, etc. now have a huge cult following throughout the U.K.  In 1976 The Wurzels hit the jackpot with their smash hit ‘Combine, it made No 1 and sold over 500,000 copies in the U.K. alone.  The B-side ‘Blackbird’ was No 1 in Canada. This was followed up by ‘Cider Drinker’, which rocketed up the charts, giving the group a No 3 hit and their second silver disc.

Tickets are £24 and  will go on sale on Monday 24th April at 10:00am and will be available on www.pembrokecastle.co.uk and through the Castle Gift Shop.

Unearthed Festival

Located near St Davids in Pembrokeshire, Unearthed Festival is a three-day festival with a focus on sustainability, consciousness and community. Enjoy a range of reggae, world and folk music whilst surrounded by the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside. 

Unearthed Festival is a festival that “celebrates the expansion of consciousness through music and arts, talks and workshops, vegetarian food and community spirit.” 

The Big Retreat Festival

Find your feel good at The Big Retreat Festival in Lawrenny, Pembrokeshire. Ever left a festival feeling more relaxed than when you arrived? The Big Retreat promises just that.

Pembrokeshire Fish Week

The bi-annual Pembrokeshire Fish Week is a firm favourite in any foodie’s calendar. It’s no surprise it’s one of our favourite Pembrokeshire events. 

Taking place at Mackerel Quay on Milford Waterfront, it is a fun-filled day surrounded by gorgeous scenery. 

Get involved with a variety of activities, including workshops, cookery demonstrations and classes. You can also enjoy the delights of a seafood barbecue and purchase fresh and local ingredients to recreate your favourites at home! 

From fresh scallops and authentic paella to crab salads and mussels, your taste buds will leave wanting more! 

Challenge Wales Triathlon

If you’re seeking a challenge, then the award-winning Challenge Wales Triathlon is for you! 

Split into a 1.2-mile swim in Fishguard Bay, a 56-mile cycle and a 13.1-mile run. The course is suitable for both new and experienced athletes. 

Along the routes, you will see the best of St Davids, Trefin, Mathry, The Parrog and the coast. 

Why not reward yourself with a tasty meal at the Rose & Crown once you’ve finished! 

St Davids Cathedral Festival

The next addition, and the longest, to our What’s on Pembrokeshire 2023 guide is St Davids Cathedral Festival. 

The event is a hive of music, with contemporary and classical performances in the magnificent setting of St Davids Cathedral. 

Past performers at this popular festival include the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. 

Family events and workshops are available, including singing, music and theatre. So, there is something for everyone to enjoy! 

Milford’s The Big Beer Festival

Milfords The Big Beer Festival is a vibrant festival raising money for charitable causes. Taking place on the beautiful Milford Waterfront, you can expect live music, dancing, real ales and street food.
